Customer Service Award Ideas and Wording

Have you ever imagined what your company would be like without your customer service team?

This is the team that ensures customer requirements are handled quickly and efficiently. Day after day, they answer questions, find information, and provide the assistance that helps keep customers satisfied. Taking the time to recognize their efforts goes a long way in showing your customer service team that they are truly appreciated.

When considering what type of awards to give your customer service team, you may want to review the metrics currently being used in their department. It might be total number of calls made or taken, how much positive customer feedback was given, or the number of issues resolved. There may be a high number of up-sell opportunities, repeat orders, or new account additions to consider. You can also give awards for good attendance, high quality work, or suggestions that caused improvements. You may want to reward the total number of orders a customer service representative processed.

Whatever awards you choose, be sure to take time to think about award presentation. You may want to recognize award recipients at a team or department meeting, or a company get together. You may be planning a Virtual Award Ceremony. Remember, publicly recognizing recipients and presenting them with their awards will help to make the accomplishments more memorable for the individuals and his or her team. Many organizations will follow the presentation by mentioning the recipients again in an internal newsletter, on the organization’s Facebook page, or in press releases. And lastly, make sure a note about the award goes into the individuals HR records for future reference.
